Wellington Harbour
This is Wellington View's own webcam. It looks out from Brooklyn over the central city (Te Aro) and up the harbour towards the Rimatuka hills. To the left you can see Thorndon, Mt Kaukau, and the Western Hutt hills, to the right you can see Orienta...
Petone and Eastbourne
This is a view of Petone foreshore and the Eastbourne hills looking south from the suburb of Maungaraki in the Western hills. To the right of the image you can see Somes Island, and in the distance you can just make out Ward Island.
Motorway - Aotea Quay offramp
Looking north over the Aotea Quay offramp. Here you can see lots of poor people stuck in traffic for minutes each day (yes, minutes, this isn't Auckland, we don't have traffic jams).
Motorway - Tunnel to Thorndon
The northern exit from the motorway tunnel, looking north to Thorndon. This is where you would drive past if you were leaving Wellington, because there is only one way to drive out of Wellington, and that is north. If you went south you would get ...
Motorway - Terrace Tunnel north entrance
The northern entrance to the motorway tunnel, looking south. This is where people from the Hutt queue up each day to get into Wellington.
Courtenay Place

Looking south from the middle of Ngauranga Gorge.
Johnsonville South
Looking south over the motorway at the top of Ngauranga Gorge, Wellington.
Mt Victoria Tunnel

Coast Road
The coast road south of Fishermans Table.
Somes Island
Somes Island is an island in the middle of Wellington harbour. It is a lot like Alcatraz, which is rather fitting as it used to be used as an animal quarantine facility. This view is quite outstanding and looks north up Wellington harbour.
Ward Island
A very dull lump of rock and dirt in the middle of the harbour.
Steeple Rock Lighthouse
Looks north up the harbour entrance towards Eastbourne.
Breaker Bay
Wellington's own nudist beach. But don't get too excited, you can't see anything, and besides Wellington is so cold there would be nothing to see anyway. This camera also gives a great marine view of the entrance to the harbour.
Breaker Bay to Pencarrow Head
An excellent view of the harbour entrance looking south-east towards Pencarrow head.
Harbour Heads
A view looking south over the harbour entrance.
Centreport Port
View of the seaward side of the Wellington container wharf.
Centreport Thorndon Container Wharf
View of the container storage area at the Wellington Centreport wharf.
Centreport Office
View of the containers from the Centreport office.
Mana Island
Mana Island is an unremarkable, flat lump of land off the Plimerton coast. But you are probably a lot more interested in the sea conditions.
Plimmerton
A great shot of Plimmerton and Porirua's twin harbours. Looks south west from Camborne.
Porirua Mall
I'm sure this isn't Porirua Mall, but it looks like a good shot of Mana Island and the sea.
Kapiti Island
Well in the distance you can make out the shape of Kapiti Island, a large bird sanctuary off the Kapiti coast. In the foreground there are some nice pine tress.
Porirua Harbour
Looks south from Whitby/Papakowhai towards Porirua City. What a pretty view.
Zephyrometer
The infamous Wellington Zephyrometer. Presented to the city in 2003, sponsored by Meridian Energy, and assisted by the Wellington City Council. This sculpture is the second kinetic work by Phil Price to be installed in Wellington. The dynamic mast-...
Lower Hutt south
It's a whole bunch of roofs (isn't that a stupid word?). This camera also shows the sky looking south from Lower Hutt, so you can check out the weather.
Lower Hutt west
A nice cabbage tree, and more sky. This looks west from Lower Hutt so check out that weather.
