About Wellington Views

Wellington Views Global Enterprises New Zealand Incorporated Limited is a worldwide leader in webcam imagery and online entertainment services, with revenues in excess of $37 trillion each month.

Actually Wellington Views is a one man band, running on a small websever in my basement, and produces absolutely no money whatsoever, but hey let's not get hung up on details.

This is just a hobby, which is kind of strange because I don't actually have any spare time, but seeing as Wellington Views has been running for over five years I kind of feel obligated to keep it going.

All of the camera images except one are stolen from other webcam operators around Wellington. If you happen to be one of those operators and arent happy about me using your webcam, please send me a nice email to "contact at wn dot co dot nz" and I will stop using your camera. But that would be such a shame as you all have such nice cameras and this is a great place for them all to be displayed... anyway, please don't sue me, I have honestly not made a cent off this and don't plan to.

I am right now in the process of building this new version of the site, so apologies for any problems, spelling mistokes, broken links, etc. It will all be fixed soon.

Cheers
Mike

About the website

Last updated at: 7:00pm August 17th 2007

The layout and css design of the site is based on a free template from Free CSS Templates who I can't say enough good things about! They have a huge range of realy nice templates and they are all free.

The weather information is provided by weather.com using a free script from NotOneBit.com which I modified to make it look nice and fit our site design.

Our webcam is an Intellinet MNC-L10, which seems to work quite well, but I am always on the look out for better cameras.

Its all hosted on a small Dell server in my wine cellar, on the back of an ADSL connection. Why the wine cellar? Well everyone has a webserver in their wine cellar don't they? Afterall with the email server in the kitchen and the firewall in the gazebo where else do you put the webserver?

Cheers
Mike
